Here are the solutions of Question number 4, 5 of Admission of a Partner chapter 3 of DK Goel Class 12 CBSE (2026-27)

Q. 4. A, B and C were partners in a firm sharing profits in 1 : 2 : 3 ratio. They admitted D as a new partner for 1/6th share. D acquired his share 1/24 from A, 1/24 from B and 1/12 from C. Calculate new profit sharing ratio.

Q. 5 A and B are partners sharing profits in the ratio of 3 : 2. They admit C into partnership giving his 1/2 share in profits which he acquires from A and B in the ratio of 3 : 1. Calculate the new profit ratio.

[Ans. New Ratio 9 : 11 : 20.]
