Q. 21. Analyse and Journalise the following transactions: 21.

(i) On 25th April, 2026, Shyam who owed 10,000 became insolvent. Received a first and final dividend
of 60 paise in the rupee from his official receiver.

(ii) On 30th April, 2026, Recovered from Rajan an old amount written-off as bad debt in 2025-26 1,500.

Solution:-

Q. 22. Journalise the following transactions:

(i) Paid rent of building 60,000 by cheque, half of the building is used by the proprietor for residential use.

(ii) Paid fire insurance premium of the building in advance 10,000.

(iii) Paid Life Insurance premium by cheque 20,000.

(iv) Paid Income Tax 30,000.

(v)Purchased machinery from Rajiv Bros. 1,00,000 and paid by bank draft taken from bank paying bank charges 400.

(vi) Received repayment of a loan of 18,000 and deposited10,000 out of it into the bank.

(vii) Bought goods of list price of 2,00,000 from Ajeet less 20% Trade Discount and 2% Cash Discount and paid 50% by cheque.

(viii) Paid 9,600 to Rajesh on account.

(ix) Placed in Fixed Deposit Account at bank by transfer Current Account ₹ 20,000.

(x) Purchased building 40,00,000 and paid commission to broker of 80,000 and 2,00,000 as registration charge. All the payments made by cheque.
